At NASOM (National Autism Society of Malaysia)
At NASOM three students are assigned to one one teacher, then they have three stages or categories, depending on the age of the child, skills will be taught to the person. They will teach them slowly and at their own pace.
2-13
They will offer basic skill for them such as social skill, basic academic skill eg counting and reading. The main idea of doing it early is that these children are equipped with the skills to go to mainstream schools
13-14
At this age teaching pre vocational/ job skill for them to move forward. They teach them skills like cooking, baking, and daily living skill. At this age they too prepare them to also go to mainstream school
14 and above
This is the age teaching vocational skill, job skill, whatever thought earlier can be enhanced. Like counting, drawing, singing, talking, writing and so much more
​Apart from teaching, NASOM, can provide jobs for these people depending on the skills that the person has. People who can cook will become chefd, others who draw can become artist. This service is for those who are unable to find work for themselves outside.
NASOM is the one who finds them the work and tries to get them employed

Di NASOM (National Autism Society of Malaysia) tiga pelajar diberi kepada satu cikgu. NASOM mempunyai 3 kategori dan kanak-kanak akan dikumpulkan mengikut umur mereka dan tahap kemahiran. Cikgu-cikgu akan mengajar mereka dengan perlahan dan pada tahap pembelajaran mereka sendiri.

NASOM akan menawarkan kemahiran asas seperti kemahiran sosial dan kemahiran pelajaran asas contohnya mengira dan membaca. Idea Utama untuk membuat demikian adalah supaya budak ini dilengkapi dengan kemahiran untuk pergi sekolah biasa.

13-14
Pada umur ini, NASOM akan mengajar mereka kemahiran pra-vokasional/ kerja untuk mereka maju. NASOM mengajar kemahiran seperti memasak dan kehidupan keharian. Pada umur ini mereka disediakan untuk pergi ke sekolah biasa.

14 ke atas
Pada umur ini NASOM akan mengajar dan mempertingkatkan , kemahiran, vokasional, kerja dan kemahiran yang. Seperti mengira, melukis, menyanyi, bersembang,menulis dan sebagainya,

Selain mengajar,NASOM juga mengadakan perkerjaan untuk individu dengan autisma dan ini bergantung kepada kemahiran orang itu. Yang boleh memasak boleh menjadi Tukang Masak serta, yang boleh melukis boleh menjadi artis. Perkhidmatan ini membantu mereka yang tidak boleh mendapat kerja diluar sendiri. NASOM juga membantu mendaparkan kerka buat mereka

EAP (EARLY AUTISM PROJECT)
At EAP (Early Autism Project) :

They break down the skills into small parts that they will want to teach the child to the child’s level.

They will use positive reinforcement to encourage that behaviour, rewards given so that the behaviour is repeated

Provide the time to practice to help the child be fluent in the skills taught

Intensive and consistent hours

Emphasis on fun throughout therapy sessions

Teach to lose inappropriate behaviours

For example for a child that has speaking problems
-
Therapist will break down each syllable of the word ~ Cooking = COOK- ING, and ask him to repeat it

Though the child does not say it properly like saying “Cooh” “ih”, they may give him a candy or any kind of reward~ this intends to give in his mind, if he says something he will get something as a reward such as a cookies and will do it often because he knows that he will get that reward

They may spend long periods like 10-15 mins just to repeat it, or ask the parents to do as the therapist so even after therapy sessions the skill is being practiced, maybe with different words
They follow the method in America known as ABA~ which is Applied Behaviour Analysis which follows the same principles that are stated above

Mereka memecahkan kemahiran dalam bahagian kecil mengikut tahap autisma kanak kanak itu

Mereka mengguna pengukuhan positif untuk menggalakkan tingkah laku yang dihendaki, dan ganjaran diberi supaya tingkah laku diulang sekali lagi

Menyediakan masa untuk melatih untuk menolong kanak kanak itu lancar dengan kemahiran yang diajar

Memberi latihan yang intensif dan konsisten

Penekanan pada keseronokan melalui sesi terapi

Mengajar untuk meghilangkan tingkah laku yang tidak sesuai

Contohnya jika ada budak yang mempunyai masalah bercakap

Ahli terapi akan memisahkan setiap suku kata perkataan~ Cooking (Memasak) COOK-ING, dan menyuruhkan dia ulangkan perkataan tersebut

Walaupun kanak-kanak itu menyebut dengan hampir bunyinya seperti "Cooh" "ih:, mereka mungkin akan memberikan dia permainan atau ganjaran lain. Ini untuk ingatkan dalam mindanya, kalau dia bercakap dia akan mendapat ganjaran seperti biskut dan akan sering membuat tindakan ini. Ganjaran akan dikurangkan apabila sudah mahir

Mereka mungkin ambil masa yang lama seperti 10-15 minit untuk mengulangi perkataan itu lagi.
EAP mengguna kaedah terkenal ABA~ yang bermaksud Applied Behaviour Analysis (Analisis Tingkah Laku Gunaan ) yang telah terbukti berkesan dalam mengubah keadaan individu dengan autisma
IDEAS Autism Center
They too hopes to provide early intervention for children under 9 for people with low income and helping their child transition from this center and into mainstream schools

Hua Ming Autism Center
Set up in 1996. They adopt or use the TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related to
n its teaching, training and treatment of children with autism, Hua Ming adopts the TEACCH programme (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children) and ABA programme (Applied Behaviour Analysis) developed in the U.S.A.
The primary goal of these programmes is to help to prepare people with autism to live and work more effectively at home, at school and in the community. Special emphasis is placed on helping people with autism and their families to live together more effectively by reducing or removing autistic behaviours. Parents are trained to work with their children to mange behaviour problems and improve learning, social and language skills.
